These guys caught my eye, waiting for their human to return from the trash can. They just sat there patiently until she met up with them. So cute.pawtopia training winner

Thanks to everyone who sent in their dog beach photos! Lots of great shots of cute doggies enjoying the surf. The winner of the Pawtopia private training session is Penny Maus! Her pic (below) of Princess Friday at Imperial Beach is so fun. Penny & Princess were watching the surf dog competition, of course. Love that Penny captured the pier and a human in the background, and Princess's expression is priceless. Congrats Penny! I'll email you the details.dog beach, schmog beach

They may call it "Dog Beach," but Gallagher is pretty sure this place is all his. He will run up to you and give you a big old hug and say, "welcome to my beach!" When he saw me taking pics of the dogs, he wanted one of him, too. Here he is showing off his muscles. The tail in the forefront belongs to his Boxer, Luna. The beach was a madhouse today. Not only was there a volleyball tournament going on, but the F/X show, Terriers, was being filmed at Dog Beach (they've been filming at many sites all over Ocean Beach and other parts of San Diego for the past couple of months). With all those extra cars, finding a parking spot was a challenge. I snapped a quick shot of the crew filming the upcoming TV show, but I didn't see the prop sign until after I came back and took the shots off the camera. It says, "No...metamorphosis

It's nearly impossible to tell these four shots are of the same dog. If it wasn't for that yellow tag and chain collar, I might even argue with you.heidi in high contrast

Played a little bit more with effects to bring out the reds in Heidi's (a husky) coat and tongue.
