Although I feel the last post is incredibly important and necessary, I also feel it calls for a cheer-up. Enter the Erica tortures her dogs show. Actually, they were more than happy to oblige…oddly enough. (It’s only a matter of time before I wake up with my eyebrows shaved off.)
Props courtesy of the movie theater that gave us 3-D glasses for the not-3-D showing of Up this summer. Waste-not, want-not, that’s what I say! I couldn’t throw them away, they were still in the wrapper! I did it for the Earth.

Recently I was listening to a few dog trainers discussing the best way to teach a dog to retrieve a dumbbell. Apparently the owner in question had completely burned her dog out on the exercise by repeatedly working on it in a manner that was very aversive to the dog - although she wasn't using forceful methods the dog was totally unmotivated to learn to take a dumbbell from her hand.
