Some quick updates from the puppies ...

Firstly, mai precious little boy ZAP

I received some lovely photos of Zap, he is well loved, well trained and is bonding with his dad David brilliantly. He is one happy little chap who received a lot of attentions whenever he goes. He started his puppy class today.

handsome Zap at 9/10 weeks old at his great gran's house

Zap with his daddy David and great gran
David's dad bought some lambs from the market, Zap was a little helper while David and his dad tried to feed the lambs. He is very good with the lambs, he didn't hurt any of them but keeping a very close eyes on them. Hopefully he will become a nice herder like his daddy Sing.
a very tired Zap after a long day herding the lambs!

... and the girls

The girls are now migrated to the lounge and I have the box open up from time to time to give them more room to crawl around. Ferrari was the first one to open her eyes but follow very closely by Mercedes and Porsche. The girls are getting more active now. When they are awake, the first thing they are looking for is their mama Samber. After their satisfying din din, they will crawl around ...
Good morning girls!
Samber is always there for the girls when they wake up
... Mercedes started her chewing skill

don't you think Mercedes looks more like a lion cub than a sheltie?

such a hard life for a cute puppy

she is a cutie!
is a hot day!

Mercedes: hey sis, I think it is easy to learn the a, b, c than these funny scribbes!!

Now, stop taking anymore photos!!!

Zap is now officially known as "Licosateria Mai P'cious Zap"

He is the first and one successfully raised litter here at Licosateria Shelties. His new owner told me he is great, settled well and very confident, and most of all he thought their chickens were great! Sounded like he has the natural herding instinct inherited from his daddy Sing.

here are some photos taken here before he joined his new family:
Sizzle is the great puppy playmate, hopefully he continues with the girls when they are a bit older:
better learns to carry the union jack just in case I get to represent GB when I grows up

Hope you all enjoy Zap for the last few weeks, I will post news and photos when I hear from his family

More Sing-lets have arrived!

Samber was supposed to due on Saturday but the girls can't wait! She has three beautiful sable girls, ranging from golden to dark shaded sable! All girls weigh 5oz. Samber has them all in 1.5hours! Do you call this easy natural birth. I enjoyed my experinced!
I started taken her temperature last week and her temperature has been very steady, it only started to do a tiny drop since yesterday but I measured her again on Monday night at 11 (not my usual timing), her temperature had a big drop, nearly by one degree, so Colin and I moved in with her. Nothing at all on Monday night (sheltie thing!). I measured her again yesterday morning and her temperature risen so I happily went training with Sizzle. I took her temperature in the afternoon and evening and there were all looking normal but she was restless all yesterday afternoon, not wanted to eat at all (I thought that is normal for her as she is not an easy eater!). She does not want to go to her whelping box but kept going into my office and tried to nest one of the bedding. I told my mum jokingly maybe she is going to have her babies now? I even left her at 5pm to take Sizzle for his annual booster.
By 8pm, I thought I will "force" her to go into her whelping area, just in case she does has puppies. Luckily when I tried to sort out my own bedding next to her, she started to look like she is going to have puppies. I have no experienced at all (I don't Gem & Zap could count?) and she is nothing like Gem at all. I thought I would stay with her and talk to her. She started crouching and I checked on her, could see nothing ... she then lie down and settled, so I thought I let her be but for some woman's instinct, I decided I will check on her. I lifted her back leg to see the first baby already out! Still in a sack! Was I panic? Emmm ... I was shocked really. I thought I will give Colin a shout to give me a hand but when he heard me saying puppy, he actually ran away! Arrrggghhh ....
I guess I did a very good job. I was calm (since no one is helping me or even give me some support), I clean and dry the puppy while Samber did her job to chew the cord ... the second girl arrived an hour later. Funny thing was, I don't think Samber even noticed it! I helped her to get the baby out, broke the sac and clean and dry and she chew the cord; before we finished with this girl, the third one was out! Hei, all done by 11:30pm!!!

left to right: 1st born girl (look like shaded sable), 2nd born girl (look like golden sable) and 3rd born girl (very dark shaded sable). The 1st born and 2nd born look nearly identical, same sort of marking, only different is the 1st born girl has a tiny/fine blaze, I guess it will disappear when she grows older. The 3rd born is just like her mama's marking. They all very plain but beautiful! And all of them have a very long tail!

Tail high, barely touching the ground, these little dogs NEVER seem small!

Time flies! Zap will be 7 weeks tomorrow and he will soon join his new family. I didn't take too many photos (I lie!) over the last few days to post here, we spent a lot of time playing and going out to different places, meeting people and see new things. He is one brave little boy, nothing frighten him at all. I am getting fatter over the last few days, too many cakes and coffees in the town!! I blamed this on little Zap!!
little sheltie in a basket

he likes to chase moving object, so every morning when my mum has her mop out in the kitchen, he thinks that is his playtime

sorry, these pictures are a little blurry, he moves too fast!!

I think he is a little wild child, he likes outdoor so much, when the weather is good, he spends most of his time in the garden

Titan is getting so much better with him, he started to tease him to play but this photo can tell you who wins!!

we had a relaxing Saturday, he joins us on your bed for a little lie-in

father and son

my superb boys! They are so good to take photos with and they will sit there all day for me to take silly photos and do not dare move an inch!

My gorgeous Boyz!!

Now, the boys with my little girl

We went to Agility Club on Sunday, that was the last Crufts Team qualifier of this year, unfortunately, the ESSC Medium Team didn't make it again but all the shelties did their best and ran superbly! Sing and I are very proud to be on the Team.

Sing was a very good boy, he has 3 runs and 3 clears out of 3! Eventhough he didn't get a place but I was very pleased with him, he has put up a gear in his two agility runs.

Saturn was a good boy too. He has a nice speed in his jumping round, unfortunately I moved too quickly before he committed the weave entry, that was entirely my fault but I have homework for him now. I am so glad to see he is all happy again. In his agility run, I didn't insist him to do his 2o/2o on his contacts, reason being, I want him to be happy so I will restrain his contacts in the winter but at the meantime, I want him not to hesitate going down the A Frame. He surprised me with a 7th place.

here is a little video, at the end of the agility runs, I included Sizzle's running dog walk:
