Does your pet ever get the flu or a 24 hour bug? Yesterday it seemed as though Lena was a bit under the weather or depressed, but she certainly wasn't herself. She didn't want to go out, although when she did she did go potty, but on the walk she walked about 10 steps behind me as if she just didn't want to go. She was dragging around the house all day yesterday, not sleeping in her usual spot. She ate and drank fine, although her nose was dry, but she just didn't seem herself. Now today thankfully she's back to normal. So the question is do your pets have days like this where they seem either sick or depressed?
What happens when an overly affectionate cat takes a special liking to a Texas lawman at a traffic stop?
A. The officer dispenses some street justice.
B. The cat gets arrested, convicted and sentenced to nine death penalties.
C. Something entirely different.
The officer’s dashboard camera caught the whole event. Watch and see. (And don’t worry, this video is neither graphic nor disturbing.)
I'm a vet in "companion animal" practice, working only with pets. I love my job, and I enjoy writing about it - in newspapers, on my blog, wherever. I have a weekly column in the UK's Daily Telegraph, as well regular features in several Irish newspapers. I live in Ireland with my wife and two young daughters, as well as a menagerie of animals and birds. Visit my blog to find out more.
Just could not resist this video! Found it on the Friskies blog. One has to wonder what this cat is dreaming about? Thanksgiving, maybe? Just priceless! (and one wonders if cat's have deviated septums like people - I think I'll ask Dr. Bill and Dr. Larry)
p.s. they have some good polls on the Friskies blog, like one about pets celebrating holidays...do yours?
