I hope that the following article will help you to better empathize this topic.

There are likely more dog breeds in the world at this moment than there are dissimilar strains of bacteria! Okay, that was a flimsy exaggeration, but only a very slight one mind you. There really are a astonishing number of dog breeds or so with more being recognized every year.

It’s not that new dog breeds are being found from the four corners of the earth, it’s that new dog breeds are advent into being because of cross breeding programs. The resulting dogs aren’t always reasoned to be a new dog breed, but some of them do stack up to the standards to be reasoned as one of the dog breeds, and this is when the number of dog breeds starts to grow.

Since dog is so-called to be man’s best friend, it actually is no surprisal that the more ardent of dog lovers went on to cross breed dissimilar dogs to get what they well thought out to be the perfective dog for them.

This required many years of dedication on the part of these breeders as well as a love for the dogs. And the consequence of so many, many years of breeding programs by so many, many dog breeders is the large diverseness of dog breeds we have about us today.

And of these, one of the latest editions to the mix is none other than a precious cross breed known as a Puggle who is crossed with a Beagle mother and Pug father. Of the latest new dog breeds to come to the attention of the public this cute, wrinkle faced dog with the big pendulous ears and the soulful eyes, is one of the most sought after.

And just as with these Puggles, there are many new dog breeds which come into being on a steady basis. Some people deliberate that these cross bred dog breeds are better even than their unmixed bred parents as the cross breeds will have less chance of carrying the same transmissible illnesses and diseases which the pure breeds carry in their genetic makeup.

If you’re on the look out for a good dog to suit you and you find that the very number of dog breeds to take from is too overwhelming for you to look into, the best thing for you to do is to differentiate your choices down depending on what your requirements of a dog are… to read more on this topic, please click on our link below…

What a very insightful article below about how we dogs think. What is smart according to humans doesn’t necessarily equate to us dogs. You see the problem isn’t that we dogs think on average as a two-year old human, but rather we have an understanding of humans that has nothing to do with how [...]

shadow the alpha dogWhile my human, Chris, is away working on projects, we’re going to take over this blog and write some articles about important stuff that dogs really care about. But for starters, let’s get one thing straight. I’m the alpha dog in this pack and what I say goes. I have huge plans for this blog and I’ll probably teach Abigail a thing or two while I’m at it.

For starters, I should tell you about myself. My name is Shadow and I’m a 9 year old (that’s a little over 1 year if we have any humans reading this) Chocolate Labrador. Other than running things around here, (did I mention I’m the alpha dog?) I like to play with just about anything and anyone. In my yard, I have tennis balls, Kong balls, rope toys, and my new favorite, the Skineez toy (it’s a fox that I can chew on, but it doesn’t have any stuffing).

Since I’m the new editor-in-chief of this blog (I think I deserve that title), I will be taking over and making sure that the posts get out on time. I will also be writing blog entries for stuff like…

TENNIS BALL

Oh sorry, one of the humans just threw a tennis ball across the yard and I had to get it. What’s with these humans throwing away good tennis balls? I keep bringing them back and they keep throwing them away again. Its fun, but I just don’t understand it.

As I was saying, I will be writing blog entries for stuff like dog toys, fun games, long walks in the park, meeting other dogs and sniffing other dog’s…

TWO BALLS AT ONCE?? Now that’s not fair! I can’t hold two balls in my mouth at once.

Anyway, now that you know about me, I guess I should tell you about my friend, Abigail. She’s okay and all; however, she’s not as much fun as I am. I decided to give Abigail the job of talking about the stuff I don’t care about. Things like dog health, arthritis and stuff to help older dogs live better. Me, I’m not so interested in that, so when she asked if she could have a part, this seemed perfect for her. Don’t tell her I said so, but she’s a bit older herself. She was here when I arrived.

We also have two cats in our house. One is named Flynn and the other Kazi, that’s short for Kamikaze and she definitely lives up to her name. That cat is crazy! I like to chase the cats around the house sometimes, but they never seem to understand that all I want to do is play. If they would just let me sniff them, everything would be fine.

Oh, I almost forgot the two new additions. The two girl humans that live here have two guinea pigs. They are Teddy and Squeaker. Dog, are those things loud! I know I’m not supposed to touch them. I got yelled at for licking one, but I just want to see if they squeak any louder when I chew on them. I promise I wouldn’t hurt it.

So long, I’m going to tell Abigail that she needs to write the next entry.

That’s my food bowl, back off.

This is kind of scary -- seeing all these dog faces carved into pumpkins, WOOF! But it’s also some good fun. Remember, you can use the pumpkin to make pumpkin pie okay? That old adage, waste not, want not needs to go back into effect in this country, WOOF! This Halloween, Better Homes and Gardens is [...]

Otto Jones, a Dachshund mix from England, is the oldest dog in the world at 20 years and 8 months, states The Guinness World Records (see 1-min. video). Otto is very active for his age — close to 145, in dog years. He’s a bit deaf and has a touch or arthritis, but still plays ball [...]
