I'm sure people out there will continue to try to protect ZooToo? Founder Richard Thompson and say that Randy is lying but this is now national news and won't be swept under the rug any longer.
This is so sad and frustrating. The winning shelter here in St Louis has had to take Richard Thompson to court in an attempt to collect the prize. Meanwhile another Missouri shelter is expecting to receive their makeover from this year's contest.

TAFA's the perfect place to learn anything and everything about issues facing companion animals, farm animals, wildlife, and animals in research. TAFA is great for networking, too, and it's just steps away from downtown Washington, D.C.
Learn how to plan effective campaigns, walk the halls of Congress to lobby your federal legislators on animal protection issues, and hear from speakers such as HSUS president and CEO Wayne Pacelle, comedian and author Carol Leifer, singer/songwriter Nellie McKay?, California Senate Majority Leader Dean Florez, and Colorado State University professor and bioethicist Dr. Bernard Rollin.
Let's show that, together, we are just that into protecting animals this year -- please join us in July at Taking Action for Animals. Sincerely, Mike Markarian P.S. Latest in Clinical Nutrition
Buy Dr. Greger's new DVD series "Latest in Clinical Nutrition" through Humane Society Press. Click here to order.
I would like to invite you and your friends to an engaging multimedia presentation in St. Louis, Missouri, on May 4 -- "The Latest in Nutrition" by Michael Greger, M.D., director of public health and animal agriculture at The Humane Society of the United States.
Scientific studies have shown that we don't need to eat animals to be healthy. In fact the longest-living people in the world don't eat any animals at all. The population with the longest life expectancy isn't the Okinawa Japanese or the Mediterranean Sardinians, but California Adventist vegetarians. They live 10 years longer than the general population and enjoy lower rates of many of the chronic diseases that plague Americans, such as heart disease, stroke, diabetes, obesity, and certain cancers.
Join Dr. Greger as he reviews -- in an interactive quiz show format -- the latest in cutting-edge research published in peer-reviewed scientific nutrition journals and learn for yourself (and your loved ones) how a humane diet is also the healthiest. The presentation is free and open to the public.
When: Monday, May 4, 2009, 6:30 p.m.
Where: St. Mary's Health Center
6420 Clayton Rd.
St. Louis, MO 63117 (map)
More Information: (202) 676-2361 or mgreger@humanesociety.org
A tremendously entertaining medical speaker with an encyclopedic understanding of human nutrition, Dr. Greger will offer practical advice on how best to feed ourselves and our families to prevent, treat, and even reverse chronic disease. Following the presentation, Dr. Greger's captivating new DVD series, "Latest in Clinical Nutrition," will be available for purchase.
I hope you will join us!
Sincerely,
Wayne Pacelle
