Just look at those photogenic features! Here's hoping that Mariah Carey's cute canine JJ ( also referred to as Jack Jr.) gets a cameo in her upcoming music video, "Obsessed." Spotted on the Plaza Hotel set as cameras rolled, if the Jack Russell Terrier makes an appearance with his human parent he will be promenading in the paw prints of his play mate Jack, whose tail kept time in such VH1 staples as "Dreamlover" and "Always Be My Baby."

Adding to their family of Jack Russells, in April 2009 tiny Cha Cha, an eight-week-old birthday present for the Grammy Award winner from her husband, was welcomed into the Carey/Cannon household.

Janeane Garofalo, who starred as a veterinarian who dispenses animal advice on air in the 1996 romantic comedy The Truth about Cats & Dogs, knows a few things about canine companions in real life as well. A noted dog devotee, the caustic comedienne has not only fostered a few four-legged friends over the years, but also adopts her pawed pals and has diligently worked with dog rescue organizations.

Kid and Dewey, the funny lady's two fur babies, are stars in their own right, having made an appearance on The Isaac Mizrahi Show. Kid made an indelible impression when he piddled on the performer during her interview with the fashion guru.

Soon to make her return to the small screen in the CW series The Beautiful Life, Mischa Barton was enjoying the good life recently as she hugged two darling dachshunds at the launch of Harrods annual summer sale. The actress has two tail waggers waiting for her at home named Charlie and Ziggy.

With each tail that has wagged at the sound of her voice and every kiss she has received from a furry face, dogs have been saying "Thank you for being a friend" to one of the entertainment world's most beloved defenders of the animal kingdom, actress Betty White.

Since her childhood days in a family with a passel of pets, the Emmy winning actress (who has honored our four-footed friends in a number of books, including Betty White's Pet Love: How Pets Take Care of Us and Together: A Story of Shared Vision) has cultivated her compassion for all creatures great and small into a role of a lifetime-- that of a protector of animal rights through a number of organizations.

Actors & Others for Animals

Betty is a board member of this Los Angeles-based organization, which is currently headed by fellow funny woman JoAnne Worley. Founded in the early 1970's, Actors & Others for Animals has played a vital role in bettering the lives of dogs, cats, rabbits and more by funding more than 1,200 spay/neuter procedures each month for the pets of those with fixed incomes in the Southern California area, offering humane education to students, and helping to heal the souls of those in hospitals through a Pet Therapy Program.

Sophie Monk, who launched herself into the limelight as a member of the all-girl group Bardot, continued to take inspiration from the iconic siren turned animal activist when she dared to bare her body for a PETA ad promoting vegetarianism. The star of Date Movie looked pin-up perfect once again as she was spotted strolling with this tiny pawed pal.
