Rachelle Lefevre may portray villainous vamp Victoria in the first two installments of the Twilight saga, but in a PSA for Best Friends Animal Society the actress uses her power of persuasion to help take a bite out of the continuing problem of puppy mills. A dog devotee who recently showed her support for our four-legged friends at Best Friends annual Lint Roller Party, Lefevre brought along her own little lap dog Honey (seen in an archive photo below) to the video shoot.

Halloween is close at hand, and in Hollywood it seems as though our barking buddies enjoy dressing up just as much as Tinseltown's boo-tiful people. One canine who had a craving for costumes was Tori Spelling's pride and joy for 11 years, the late Mimi La Rue. Lapping up the limelight, the precocious pug pranced around in a tiny version of Dorothy's ruby slippers when she spent the day with her Momma at the 4th annual Much Love Animal Rescue Bow Wow Ween event in 2005.
Back and better than ever, pet lovers can show their devotion to dogs at the 6th Bow Wow Ween event, which will be held at the Topanga Community Club in Topanga, California on October 31st, 2009.

John Leguizamo may have brought the animated antics of Sid the sloth to life in the Ice Age movies, but there was nothing sluggish about the star's recent stroll with his dog Cholo (the same name as Leguizamo's character in the 2005 fright flick Land of The Dead,) whose padded paws promenaded with a sense of purpose on the pavement in New York's West Village.

In an interview with Parade magazine, Nurse Jackie's Edie Falco voiced the emotions of dog lovers the world over when she said that the bond she has with her 10-year-old yellow Labrador/white shepherd Marley "...is a kind of love I had never known. I have a hard time believing Marley did not come from my body. I know that sounds insane, but I feel that connected to her." The former star of The Sopranos confided that the unconditional love of her canine opened her heart to the possibility of children, and today Marley has two young play pals-- Falco's son Anderson and daughter Macy.
