Her first name may be feline-inspired, but aspiring star Kitten Kay Sera is definitely devoted to her dog, Miss Kisses. Seemingly sharing her Momma's penchant for pink (the only color the actress has worn for the past quarter of a century,) the cuddly Maltese's naturally platinum fur is often highlighted with a hint of the girlish hue.

The little pink pup and her human parent have become TV personalities in recent years, sharing the spotlight on an episode of The Dog Whisperer, Lifetime's Off The Leash, Animal Planet's Most Outrageous, Groomer Has It, Access Hollywood and The Rachel Ray Show, among others. Miss Kisses and a few barking buddies also tackled The Bard's greatest works for a doggie DVD, Shakespaws.

Triumph the Insult Comic Dog may have been a hit on stage at the 2009 MTV Movie Awards, but behind the scenes a little Rover named Rodney lapped up the limelight. The maltese (a pet with Chris Isaak's manager as his human parent), who strolled the red carpet with the crooner, is accustomed to the sight of A-listers from his appearances on the BIO channel talk show, The Chris Isaak Hour.

Like anyone lucky enough to have a pawed pal, Elizabeth Taylor tries to spend as much time as possible with her pet. During her recent routine hospital stay, the Tinseltown titan used Twitter to Tweet a request to her celebrity friend Kathy Ireland: "Thanks Darling for the beautiful flowers and all the prayers. Now can you just get my puppy past hospital security. Love."

A dog devotee since her days on the set of her first MGM movie, The Courage of Lassie, La Liz has shared the limelight with a number of canine companions over the years. A maltese dubbed Daisy (seen in the 2008 photo below) was welcomed into the Taylor household in September 2005, just months after the passing of the pet's progenitor Sugar, who was at the star's side at Cedars Sinai Medical Center in Beverly Hills during her 2004 stay. One of the loves of her life, the silver screen icon-- voicing the opinion of so many parents of fur babies-- said of Sugar "Sometimes I think there's a person in there. There's something to say for this kind of love-- it's unconditional."

Having patterned her persona on silver screen legend Marilyn Monroe, it's little wonder that the late pin up/reality personality Anna Nicole Smith named her platinum blonde fur baby after her idol. Two years after the star's passing the lovable Maltese and her four-legged Shih Tzu siblings Frankenstein and Puppy have settled into the Sherman Oaks, California home of the former centerfold's one-time love and attorney, Howard K. Stern. (Aggression issues brought on by her advanced age forced Stern to relocate Sugar Pie, Anna Nicole's beloved Black Poodle, to the home of a family friend.)

In a recent interview with onlyforpetlovers.com, Stern confided "I love these dogs. They have helped me more than I've helped them. They were my constant companions after Anna's death, and were by my side the whole time. They were probably my only source of joy."

Although the album which first brought her name to the world's attention was christened Mademoiselle Chante le Blues (Lady Sings the Blues,) French chanteuse Patricia Kaas has a song in her heart thanks to her loyal chien, a Maltese named Tequila. A gift from Claude Lelouch, the director of Un Homme et Une Femme (A Man and A Woman,) globe-trotting Tequila recently explored the land of Vodka as the superstar toured Moscow.
