Our sweet friend MANGO crossed the bridge today. He will be missed by many pups and humans. Our love goes to his very loving and caring mommy! We are at a loss for words. Checkers and Chess

Poor Chess, one of his stitches broke and we woke up to lots of blood. Mom rushed him to the vetty. They glued him together and watched him for a few hours. Mom wouldn't allow surgery for today where he would have to stay with NOBODY there. He's on major dog watch along with more antibiotics, anti-inflammatory and pain meds. He goes back Monday morning at which time they will decide on whether or not they have to do surgery to see what is in that sack hanging back there. Not much chance...

He's here! He's here! My new brother Chess has arrived. See How Happy I Am The Shelter office called this morning to tell us that Chess was doing much better and we could go get him. So I dressed up in my DAWG FAN harness [it is Saturday and time for SEC football] . Mom got the other DAWG harness for Chess and off we went. He was still at the vetty so that's where we went. When we got there the first thing we saw was a hedgehog! I thought, No Way - that thing is not coming home with me....
Getting A Brother

Guess what? I'm getting a brother! His new name is Chess. At first I wasn't so excited, but now that I've met the little guy a few times I'm really happy. He is a mess tho. And, now an even bigger mess. He was dirty and covered in fleas and a little skinny. He also still had some brass on him and they had to take those off of him. Here we go again with the thunder! I know that many of my fur-friends and their humans are suffering from drought - but here, it seems that we have thunder, lightening, rain and hell [ooops I mean hail] on a daily basis. I'm very tired of this. I would like to send it away. I might could live with the thunder and rain if it made the temperature a little cooler.
