It seems that one of my pals - TWIX - I think started the meme - "How Did I Get My Name?" --- well, mom's been pretty slow these days - but we're getting around to it - Mom saw my picture in a newspaper when I was a teeny-tiny puppy and fell in love with me. She told daddy about me and he agreed to drive to Kodak to see me - On the drive over mom said - he's black on each end and white in the middle - we'll call him "Oreo" - So, when they got to the breeder's house they saw me in the flesh - Daddy fell in love with me - and I was dubbed "Oreo" -
so, now you are wondering why isn't he called "Oreo" - I'm getting to that - when they got home mom went to get Livy - - then mom put me into a pocket book because I was so tiny and it was quite cold.........she and Livy went to the vet to get me checked out - when they asked for my name - Livy said "I think we'll call him Checkers" -- so that was it - I became Checkers and not Oreo -
