What's this I hear about you complaining that I never pose for pictures. Of course I pose. You are just too slow for me. I would think you would know by now that as the momma around here, I'm VERY VERY busy. I got stuff to do. Cats to wash. Relationships to mend. Fine...I'll sit still. ::Meowwww:: Welcome back to my garden! I've been busy with planting. We had to wait to plant my basil since it's been cold and raining. The weather warmed up so I sent my mom and dad to the garden center to get lots! Did you know that I only send my mom and dad to garden centers that have resident cats? Yup. The one we go to has 2 amazingly LARGE kitties who call it home. There is a reason their plants are always so healthy. They are purred over 24/7! I'll have you know that mom followed all of us around with the flashy box this past weekend. You saw what she did yesterday. Yeah...tons of photos and none of them turning out good at all. Except for a few. Why yes...the ones that turned out best were of me! It's a well known fact around here that I can't take a bad photo...no matter who is behind the camera. The camera loves me.

For some reason I was NOT in the mood for a photo shoot this weekend. I was having a purrfectly good time just hanging out being me. Mom said I was adorable so she needed to take photos. Who's in charge here? So I sort of agree...as you can see, mom was failing in her duties. I gave her a wonderful tongue shot...with Grete in the background. Could she get either of us in focus? ::Meowwww:: Welcome back to my garden! Our weather here has been awesome. Purrfect for pawing around the garden and snoopervising. Dad followed my instructions and got the corn planted. When they grow up, it's fun to play around the stalks. Our foxgloves are looking very pretty. They grow along side our vegetables. I know you won't read about that in most gardening books, but I think it makes gardens more fun. Why follow the rules? Plant what makes you purr. I told you about our filbert...

Why work hard in the garden? All this amazing dirt. A stick to rub against. Some sunshine to warm my furs. And Jonesie to do all my work for me. Life is good.

Mom didn't want to use these pictures of me because I'm blurry. What does she expect when I'm moving. Does she think I'm gonna sit still while these tempting tasty morsels sit here. Unattended. Minding their own sweet pea business? I gotta have a nibble. Just a little one. So yummy! Oh yeah, they make great toys too! This little one I just chomped got whapped all over the house. Until mom stepped on it and squished it.

::Meowwww:: I don't know about you, but we've been having tons of rain. The weatherman said it's been the 3rd soggiest May ever! You know what that means... Yes! Time to put on my pink slug stompers! Even though it's been raining, the flowers are still blooming. Our red poppies are so lovely. We have only a few of them. Most of our poppies are pinky peach.
