Managing all these dogs is tiring to say the least. Gabby (or is it Gabbie?) and Jammer are great dogs except for their food foraging habits. Garbage cans are to be tipped over and explored. Kitchen sinks are to be checked out for edible morsels and scraps.

Yikes. Another pair of siblings. Jammer and Gabby are 3 year old sisters. Jammer is 65 lbs. and Gabby is 73 lbs. They are short and fit the definition of min-Bouv. The owner died and a friend called me and we picked them up yesterday.

She is doing very well and has adjusted to the ex pen 100% which surprised me . I would highly recommend an ex pen if a dog of yours has to stay quiet during recovery from a surgery. It is far less confining than a crate and the dog has full visibility.

She has adjusted to staying in the ex pen most of the time and her short exercise walks. I have been sleeping next to the ex pen at night and hopefully that gives her assurance and comfort.
The surgery doesn’t take long. The recovery and rehabilitation does.
Molly, our 5.5 year old Border Collie mix had TPLO surgery yesterday (Friday) at the vet school at Colorado State University in Fort Collins. She did well and there were a few complications that were corrected. She was very happy to see us this morning when we picked her up.
