American Staffs are great dogs! Loving, playful, intelligent, intuitive. Excellent watch and protection dogs. Our "Mugsy" travels with us, goes to outdoor concerts with us, is always ready to receive compliments on how great he looks. One of the best dogs I've ever had.

arent these dogs just pit bulls?

No they are not pit bulls, they are a completely separate breed. They are wonderful loving companion dogs. But because of their size they are considered "just another bully breed." It's sad the ignorance and stupidity of some people when it comes to these animals. We just lost ours 3 weeks ago to the West Richland Police department. He was shot and killed for no reason at all. He looked like he could be a pit bull, and because of that they thought he might be vicious. It's sad and frustrating that we have been put through this pain of losing our best friend. Cops shouldn't be afraid of dogs to the point that they shot on site. I will have his badge.
