Question: Does Dolly Have a Disability?

Answer:

Dolly has all her paws so our challenges are more obvious than hers.  Dolly

was secure in her “only pet” position until I came along and  then I brought Tink and she started to get

very insecure.  Dolly looks perfect on the outside, a perfectly bred sturdy beautiful black poodle.  Some

of our challenges are on the inside and some are on the outside.  Dolly’s challenges are in the inside.

She is just like most humans, looks good on the outside and nobody really knows how difficult things are

on the inside.  Tink and I don’t every think of our missing paws as disabilities because we feel very secure

in all we can do.  We think Dolly has more problems with all of her paws.  She seems to need to be the center

of attention and affection, not as independent as me and my gal.  Dolly is a good teacher to humans though,

to learn to make their needs known and start to have words so one can ask for what they need emotionally.

We all love Dolly sooooo much in this household, we just wish she could let all the love in and feel more

secure. I guess humans have the same problem: they are loved by many but don’t let that nourishment

in. Me and my girlfriend like affection but we are pretty much okay on our own.

Signed, Henry
