I just got my beagle Guinness back. She has been living with a chihuahua for almost a year at the beach(she never went to the beach though). I know it's really soon since I got her back yesterday... I work early mornings, so before I left I put Guinness in the yard. My fiancee called me 20 minutes after I had left that she was crying her guts out. And she did until he let her on the bed(which he doesn't like), could this be a sign of Separation Anxiety?

Dear BEACH BEAGLE, It is hard to say, but given that your dog is not use to being alone or locked away from people that are home, you are going to have some work to do. -----------------Your fiancee has ALREADY REWARDED the barking by letting the dog come back inside. So he is going to have to get used to her snuggling -a beagle specialty! ----------------------------------------OR, you are going to have to find an alternate place to put her when you leave. Try making a nice space for her in the bathroom, or kitchen. Remove anything she could chew, use a tall gate, and leave her LOTS of food puzzles, chew-bones, and toys. MOST IMPORTANT!!!! Beagles need a snuggle-bed with a blanket. They like to feel cozy. Make her a cozy crate, bed, or corner.
