Oh em gee!
I have been SO busy enjoying my sunbeam on the back of the sofa (and the emergence of spring) that I almost forgot to write to you. Forgive me.
When the sun shines I go all funny and need to lie down. In a sunbeam.
Tonight was no exception.
I was hanging out in the basement with my man person (who turned 48 TODAY) and watching hockey. Im not really a fan but I was humouring him because it was his birthday.

Hi, Im Chris. I work with Sadies person. She asked me to write a piece for Sadies blog.
I am the oldest of four children. Growing up the only pets we had were goldfish.
Fast forward a couple decades and Im the aunt to two nephews and two nieces flesh ones and aunt to five fur nephews and three fur nieces yes, thats eight. Im the only kid with no pets.

Today we went for a long walk and I was super dirty when we got home so my person put me in the bath straight away. Which, of course, I hated. At least Im clean.
All the sand and grit from the snow made me yucky.
Post-bath Im cuddling up on the sofa. And right about now, I think I hear dinner calling my name.

Its a page from a book of poetry called A Million Bears by Spencer Madsen. Unfortunately, according to Mr Spencers Tumblr, the book is now out of print.
Its such a moving piece of writing. We thought more people and anipals should see it.
