House of Cats

I will do a real post Monday but I wanted to let everyone know Barney is good - the area where the fur was missing is already getting better on his chin - it was probably either a bit of kitty acne we caught early or he was hurt wrestling with one of his brothers and he was rubbing it because it was itchy. Either way it was better looking this morning and the fur is growing back. With the underarms we need to watch it but we don't really need to worry right now because it looks ok - no weird sores or anything. This could be him licking from stress so I need to watch, but I think that will be ok too - it looks like it could be starting to grow back already. His eyes are the only real issue and he is back on his eye goo - basically we just need to watch and whenever it comes back give him the eye meds. Lola was the same way as a kitten but has since grown out of it. The problem with Barney is that some of the eye stuff is worse then the cause so we just need to be sure that we keep the good stuff around - he is alergic to a more common one but even that he gets over very quickly - but it is just easier to keep track of the one that works well.

Thanks for all the good wishes - he was very not happy going to the vet but now is back to his normal, crazy self!
