I'm please to announce this month's sponsored pet, Phoebe. I sponsor a new shelter pet every month with some of the profits from selling my Needle Felted art. I decided this month to sponsor a dog through the Canadian Chihuahua Rescue & Transport (CCRT). This month's sponsored pet is Phoebe, a 6 year old female Chihuahua. I chose Phoebe because of how much she reminds me of one of my own Chihuahuas, Patches.

Here's a bit more info about Phoebe:

"Phoebe is a quiet, shy girl weighing about 12 pounds. She is up-to-date with shots, micro-chipped, spayed, had a dental and four teeth extracted. Phoebe came to CCRT from what is believed to be a "backyard breeder," so is lacking in house-training, self-confidence and socialization.

Phoebe has been with her foster family for a short while and is coming out of her shell quite nicely. Her house-training is coming along very well and she uses her pee pad for peeing, but not for bowel movements. She will go outside, but this cold weather is slowing down the progress somewhat. However, Phoebe is quick to learn and eager to please so this won't be an issue for long. Phoebe enjoys the other dogs in her foster home, but her favorite place to be is wherever the people are."

If you have a place in your heart and your home for Phoebe, she is available for adoption through the Canadian Chihuahua Rescue & Transport (CCRT). If you are looking for a new pet, please check your local shelter and rescue listings - there are so many wonderful animals desperately seeking their forever home.
