Peaches and her litter-mate Princess were adopted by Harold Jackson’s family more than 15 years ago. Peaches was a cat who loved listening to story telling. However, one day she fell really ill. After having tried everything to help ease her pain, they were at their wits’ end. Harold decided to put Peaches to sleep because he simply could not stand seeing her suffer any longer.

On the day to the vet, Peaches passed away before arriving. When he got to the clinic, his vet, Dr. Jerry Flatt, asked if he could perform an autopsy for the cat. Harold agreed. Later when the autopsy results came out, it became a life turning expereince for Harold.

Neptune is a lovely Himalayan kitty who loves to sleep with his tongue sticking out . According to his hooman Tammy HaQuang, Neptune is about 3 years old and is very smart. “He fetches and can hunt out his favorite toys from the most remote places of the house. Tuney loves to stick his tongue out which is good because his mouth is much too small to keep it in.”

Romeo is a lovely Scottish Fold with beautiful straight ears and pink nose and paws. He is a charmer and a fun kitty who loves to hang out in all types of containers. His hooman Timothy Phelan, a University professor at Miyagi University in Sendai, Japan, has captured many wonderful photos of Romeo.

As a long time cat lover and certified veterinary technician, I am very aware of the magic that exists between people and animals. My experience with therapy cats began many years ago when I was living and working in Pennsylvania. A beloved client suffered a stroke and was relocated to an assisted living home. With the few words he could speak, he asked that his Siamese cat be brought to see him. This wasn’t possible for several reasons so I volunteered to bring my Siamese cat Violet instead. Violet was a lively, opinionated yet gentle cat, with a distinctive voice.

…Violet and I eventually passed our Delta Society evaluation with flying colors to become a registered Pet Partners team.

After we moved to the Pacific Northwest, Violet sadly passed away of age related causes. I felt a void in not having a cat partner for visits. Little did I know, it was just a matter of time until a new partner showed up in my life.

A 2-year-old Persian cat named Prinny is getting a lot of attention from the media because of a seemingly odd thing she does with water. She’s been spotted paddling in a swimming pool at the Doggy Paddle swin center in Rosebud, Victoria in Australia.

According to Australia’s Herald Sun, Prinny swims with “her friend Bandit the blue heeler” for his hydrotherapy sessions.

Does Prinny really enjoy being in the water? She looks frightened and is trying very hard to get out. Whether they are trying to use the cat for rehabilitation for the dogs, the cat obviously does not want to stay in the water.
