Last night was the composite triple beatBenton-Franklin Humane Society’s 15th annual Mardi Gras fund raiser. Normally held in March, the event was moved to May this year and it was a beautiful evening as we gathered at the Three Rivers Convention Center. Unfortunately, the weather didn’t last and was pouring down rain as we left but it was a very pleasant evening inside at the humane society’s biggest fund raiser of the year. This year’s focus was their capital campaign as they work to raise the estimated two million dollars for their new, much needed facility. The evening featured both live and silent auctions.
