    Just in time for Christmas, Catbaloo, a victim of the Joplin tornado, has been reunited with her owner after 7 months of subsisting in the hull of a destroyed home.     Feral cats in Plumsted Township, New Jersey will have it a little bit easier this winter, thanks to Eagle Scout candidate Ian Manuguerra. The 16-year-old built and donated eight insulated cat shelters to Plumsteds TNR Program.

    The TNR Group estimates that about 1,500 feral cats live in the farming community.

  • “Dead” Cat Gives Owner Early Xmas Gift

    Christmas came early this year for Vanessa Summerfield. She got a call yesterday that her dead cat, George had been found alive and well.

    George escaped from his kennel on an Air Canada flight to Ontario on September 23rd. In November, the airline notified Summerfield that Georges body had been found, frozen during a cold snap in Edmonton.

    I really wanted to make sure somebody gave him a positive ID, so we brought him over the vet and the vet noticed it was actually a female cat, not a male...

    Daniel Johns fell in love with Waylon at Collier County (Florida) Domestic Animal Services. He visited the orange and white tabby frequently before finally adopting him in June.

    But as soon as Waylon arrived at his new home, he hid behind the dryer. The next day, when Daniel searched for the cat he found a hole in the dryer vent and Waylon was nowhere to be found.
