They say the first step is admitting you have a problem. That's what they say anyway. But, what if you enjoy your addiction? Then it's not really a 'problem', right? Well, I don't believe my dog-addiction is a problem. Others may disagree though (*cough* Hubs *cough*), when every single time I hear or read "Puppies for sale", I start scheming and trying to figure out how I could add a fourth furball to our pack. *Sigh* Give me a break, I already admitted it's an addiction, but I just can't admit it's a problem. Besides, this is just a post. It's not like I went out and brought home another puppy. So, Hubs, if you're reading this, you can relax.

One of the highlights of my day is pulling in my driveway after driving home from work and seeing that Hubs has let the 'kids' out so they could come greet me when I get home. When I see their beautiful faces light up when they realize Mommy is home, and they come running to greet me, a huge smile forms on my face and my heart melts... each and every time. So, no, you will not be seeing any "Dogs for sale" signs in my yard... ever! My dogs own my heart. They love me unconditionally, and, as you know, my dogs keep me sane. ;-)

I happen to know of a co-worker who has Puppies for sale right now. They are Yellow and Black Labrador Retrievers. Oh, and I really want another Great Pyrenees... and another Golden Retriever... and... OK, I better stop now. Seriously though, can you imagine my Maggie-May teaching a puppy everything she knows? Oh boy would we have our hands full! It certainly would be a blast though! I mean, come on, we've got three dogs... what's one more?

Yes, I know, I'm out of control. It's really nothing you didn't already know, right?

Heads Or Tails

If you click on the graphic above, it will take you to the awesome HoT blog where you can sign up and start participating in this fun and popular meme!

This week's theme is HEADS -"See".

This Robin was obviously very shy, so it
decided to pretend it couldn't see me.
Either that, or it was trying to see where
that itch under its feathers was coming from.
Or, perhaps it was trying to see how life would be
as a headless Robin.

These are some deer, which scared the crap outta me,
because I was focused on some birds when I walked
right up on these deer without seeing them.
After they took off, all I was seeing was the tail!

When I moved out here, I didn't know where I was going, and I didn't know where any businesses were. OK, fine, I'll admit it, I didn't usually know where I was going before I moved either. Yes, we've established that Misty is horrible with directions. That's why it's convenient for people like me to know about a website which provides the service of giving you a local search.

You can search for, and find addresses for, anything you are looking for, whether it be local restaurants, the nearest grocery store, or the license bureau. Then you can spend more time accomplishing what you need to get done, rather than driving around in search of the place you are trying to find.

Local.com not only provides this service, but they also provide a local yellowpages service. So, not only can you find addresses and directions, but you can also find phone numbers. I think they had me in mind when they designed this site.

After you read about this pet photo contest, scroll down for my Camera Critters post - it features one of my favorite photos I've ever taken!

Earlier this week, I was sent an e-mail asking if I would promote a pet photo contest. It seems some people think I like animals and pets. Hmmmph wonder where they would get a crazy idea like that! Anyway, considering that we have over 100 participants for Camera-Critters each week, and y'all mean the absolute world to me, I feel it's my duty to tell you about a critter photo contest! So, go enter, and good luck! Whatever you win, we split - HEY, it's only fair - I told ya about the contest!!! hehe I'm just kidding! Oh, and just so you know - I AM NOT being compensated for telling you about this contest. Forgive me for a moment, but
this is one of my most favorite photos I have ever taken.

I saw this critter when Hubs and I were on our way for our long walk last weekend.
I asked, "Did you see that?"
Hubs said "No. Do you want me to back up?"
I just gave him that look as he was already putting the vehicle in reverse.
The above photo is what I saw and continued to merrily snap photos of.
Then, the critter decided we had done enough staring at each other.
So, it continued on its way...

"Still on my way to my destination...
Why does that woman keep standing there watching me?"
(c) Misty DawnS

"Talk to the tail, Lady.
I've got places to go and things to do!"
(c) Misty DawnS

"I'm outta this joint.
This pond ain't big enough for the two of us."
(c) Misty DawnS

"Ah ha! I see an escape route now!
See ya later, Camera-Lady!"
