Thank you, everyone for the nice tweets yesterday after we mentioned that Toby had to go to the vet. To get everyone up to speed, Toby hurt his leg two weeks ago after running around in the snow. This is a known issue with him, and did our regular crate rest. Well, Sunday afternoon, Toby threw up twice. Then, Sunday into Monday, Toby threw up four times throughout the night. I decided it was time to go to the vet. While we were there, they also looked at his leg. You'll see in the video how...Toby's New Brother!

I'm not sure how many of you know this, but I've been riding horses since I was 9 months old. My aunt put me on one at that age, and after totally loving it, she went out and bought one. Sundown was a huge part of my childhood, and started my love of these beautiful creatures. That's me with my aunt and him in the photo to the right. I think I love the idea of Throwback Thursday, because I love looking at old photos. Well, to be truthful, I love looking at photos in general. For this week's Throwback Thursday, here is a photo of Toby after day one of the very first BlogPaws in Ohio! He was just a tad bit tired .... :)

So, this won't be so wordless, because I want to give a little context to the photo. This was an adorable pup who we met over the weekend while following the Thurman Maple Days trail. She was so happy and excited that her tail never stopped wagging, and while it made it tough to get a good photo of her, surprisingly my iPhone picked up her very excited tail. It always upsets me that so many stores are not dog friendly, and that I can't bring Toby into them. But, luckily that wasn't the case when we decided to stop at the Vera Bradley outlet in New York last night -- and they made a sale, as well as life-long customer because of it. My friend called ahead when we decided we might stop and asked if they were dog friendly, and if I could carry my small, little dog into the store. When they said, yes, we immediately got off the exit and headed there....
