  • Buckle-Down Dog Collars and Dog Leashes

from My Tail Hurts From Wagging So Much

    Sunday April 3rd, 2011 at 01:36 AM

When it comes to Buckle-Down dog collars and dog leashes, we really could start and stop this post with just one question -- How rocking are these?! Unlike many of the brands we came in contact with at the Global Pet Expo, Buckle-Down is a human fashion accessory company, who told us moving into the dog business was just a natural progression, especially after Eric Swope, the COO of Buckle-Down rescued to pitbulls. Their designs range from rocker to hipster and everything in between. "A lot...
  • Spring Is Here! ... Sorta

from My Tail Hurts From Wagging So Much

    Saturday April 2nd, 2011 at 05:36 AM

Spring is here (!) which means weekends will soon be filled with kayaking, early morning walks through Lake George Village and bonfires at night. But, looking out our window onto a mostly snow-covered lawn, you wouldn't know it. Please snow, would you just melt already? For the first time since New Years Day, we've been able to see some, and I really mean some, grass. That coupled with the warm sunshine beating down on us, I took Toby outside and let him run around for a little while. Of...
  • Best April Fool's Pranks - The Pet Edition

from My Tail Hurts From Wagging So Much

    Friday April 1st, 2011 at 06:37 AM

I can't believe how many April Fool's pranks I've seen today dealing with pets! The one that really had me questioning whether it was true or not was from Embrace Pet Insurance. It was a press release that read, "Not Your Grandma's Lapdog. The Great Chihuahua turns heads and steals hearts across US." Since at 12 pounds, Toby is not your typical, put-in-your-purse Chihuahua, it really did take me a minute to figure out if this was a joke or not. But, the accompanying release, also by Embrace...

We got to check them out last month during the Global Pet Expo. Planet Dog shows us their new orbee balls during the Global Pet Expo. The new combinations were chosen after...

Kira StackhouseI was sitting in The Times Center for the Shorty Awards with a colleague when the 2011 finalists for the Art category were projected on the large screen in the back of the stage. My eyes almost popped out of my head when I saw @projectdog's twitter handle on there! Immediately, I tweeted to see if Project Dog was also there, and, she was -- all the way from San Francisco! It was so great to connect with Kira afterward, and actually meet in person. Kira Stackhouse, who also runs...

Do you cook for your dog, or think you know of a food flavor combination that your dog will love? If so, CESAR Canine Cuisine wants to hear from you! They are asking the public to take over their kitchen and mix and match flavors, that in the end, could be one of two new dishes added to the CESAR shelf for their Sunrise breakfast and original pate flavors. "As the makers of CESAR Canine Cuisine, we know dog lovers want to provide the very best for their canine companions," said Tierney...
