One of the topics for Etsy blog carnival this month is 'what's your favorite food' and I'd have to say pasta is mine, Italian pasta. We grew up on this pasta my grandmother used to make, then my mom and aunts and now my sister and I make it. It's really the sauce that makes the pasta so it can be any kind of pasta, but it's the sauce that makes it special. There's nothing like homemade raviolis, eggplant, mostacolli, lasagna, but without that sauce to go along with them they're nothing. Nothing like good old Italian food -- thanks grandma! When I get a minute I'll post that recipe at a later date, it's delicious.
But lately I've been getting into the healthy kick while trying to lose some weight so I've been sticking with the fresh fruits and vegetables. I do love ice cream and it seems like when I start eating it I can never have enough so I have given that up for now and replaced with this simple dish -- strawberries, bananas with a dab of whip cream on top. It's a lot less calories and much better for you. At times I will add other fruits like blueberries and pears -- it has definitely been working to keep me away from the ice cream.

This is the new bead I recently put in my shop. Hope you like the little guy! It's a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel bead hand-sculpted from polymer clay in red and white.
The bead is pierced vertically from top of head to bottom.
Approximate size of the bead is:
1-1/4" side to side - ear to ear
5/8" top to bottom - top of head to bottom base of bead
3/4" front to back - nose to back of head

I recently put this little Boston Terrier back in my shop. The top is entirely made from polymer clay and I've got to tell you constructing that little house was a real pain, but in the end it worked. The 'flowers' are also made of polymer clay and sit on top of colored wire.
Everything is tacked down to the base except for the dog, she can be removed and placed elsewhere.
