I'm happy to say that this little guy sold pretty quickly. The frame is a metal frame with a hand-sculpted Dachshund across the bottom giving a ride to four ladybugs who are trying to get up the flowers that the little pup is holding. The frame holds a small print of my artwork of a Dachshund with her own fairy. The dog, ladybugs and flowers are all hand-sculpted from polymer clay.

The Doxie wears a sailor hat with red heart and holds a wire with white heart.

I've decided to have a Mother's Day sale in my shop today Tuesday, 05.05.09 through Friday, 05.08.09. Although I'm not a mom myself (that is not to a human child anyway), I do appreciate the hard work that mothers go through every day. I knew I never wanted to be a mom because of the daily, unselfishness and commitment that a mother has to go through, I knew it was a job I couldn't take on with 100% zeal so, therefore, I never became a mom. I do, however, have a sister with three beautiful children who I admire greatly for her undertaking of this full time, never ending job called mom.

Okay, okay, so he's not so dangerous, but he looks like a tough guy doesn't he? All right, maybe not so much, but he's one tough cookie anyway and he knows what he likes. Donny does have an independent streak, he's fiercely loyal -- and don't tell anybody, he loves kisses.

Donny is my latest sculpture, he is hand-sculpted from black and tan polymer clay, he wears a cap with a skull and crossbones and silver studs at the brim. He also wears a silver chain with rhinestone center ending in a silver cutout heart charm.

Donny is approximately:
2-1/2" long nose to booty
1" wide side to side
Stands about 1-3/4" tall

The Dachshund has graciously allowed this little snail to take a ride down her back. The snail is taking a nice long ride down the Doxie's back on a leaf while the Doxie licks her chops to make it just a bit more slippery for the snail's fun-filled ride.

The Dachshund is a bead and is hand-sculpted from polymer clay as is the leaf and snail on her back except for the snail's shell, that's a real tiny seashell.

The bead is pierced vertically from top of head to base.
