In a statement released today, Delta Cargo announced that beginning Wednesday, July 1, they will allow daily non-stop flights between Los Angeles (LAX) and Sydney (SYD), Australia.

In the release Delta also said they would direct all potential customers wanting to ship dogs and cats to Australia to the Independent Pet and Animal Transportation Association (IPATA) website.

Last week we wrote about being filmed for a news story with our customers moving to Singapore. The segment is below and turned out great -- thanks so much to our four-legged stars, Tesa & Abbey!

As we mentioned yesterday, the rules for pet import to Singapore (for pets coming from the US) will change begining on July 1st.  We received the new veterinary health certficate today and have uploaded it so others can download it if needed.

We came across this interesting product today, a spill-proof bowl for dog travel. I'm interested in hearing if anyone else has used it and if you've found it to be successful? As you can see from the video below, it looks like it can withstand quite a bit (including a pretty bumpy car ride!). It'd be great if someone could engineer a similar bowl that would attach to crate doors for air travel. The reason this would not really be suitable for pet air travel is because the airlines require bowls to attach to the inside of the crate door, so they can pour water in through the door.
