SALEM, Ore. — The Humane Society of the United States commends Gov. Ted Kulongoski for signing a resolution declaring October 2009 as "Adopt a Shelter Pet Month" in Oregon. As the resident social media guru/addict (depending on who you ask), I often find myself answering questions like "What's the point of Twitter?" or "Why do you keep writing blogs all the time?" Fortunately, our CEO Kevin O'Brien is also progressive when it comes to online outreach, and has embraced the social media world for what it truly is: a chance to give yourself or your company a voice, while helping others in the process. A good example of this platform's benefits can be found in Darby, the German Shepherd.
