Hi. I have two indoor, declawed cats aged 10 & 11. They have traveled from the US to Melbourne, Australia (lived there for 18 months) and from Melbourne to Tokyo, Japan (have been here for 18 months). In Melbourne they spent 48 days in quarantine, they were allowed to come directly to our house in Tokyo because they were moving from and island country to another island country. There is a great possibility that we will be moved to either Paris or Madrid in the beginning on 2010.
Kike & La La, Brad & Jean Paulafter meeting again in Tokyo!
Kathy, Brad's mom, was the one who saw them off in Las Vegas, and wrote us this note of thanks:
Thanks so much for all of your help. I really don't know how we could have done it by ourselves. Kike said that the dogs definitely remembered him after being apart so long and of course they all went nuts. They love their dogs so much and we thank you so much for being so thorough throughout this process. If I ever hear of anyone moving their pets, I will give them your name. It's been a pleasure working with you and thanks again. It was our pleasure! Thank you for trusting PetRelocation.com and all the best to Jean Paul, LaLa, Brad & Kike!
The kitties are safe and sound and adjusting well to life in Tokyo.
I think what they love the most is the living room floor – it’s one of those “radiant heat” floors that are heated from underneath.
So they like to find a good spot in the sun and enjoy warmth from above and below!
I’ll put it in the “no news is good news”
department that we really don’t have any stories to tell. They’ve settled in rather quickly.
I think they are happy just to be in a house with people, since they had been at home mostly alone for a few months.
Having Pet Relocation (dot com) take care of the cats really helped us rest much more easily. At a time of great stress, getting the cats over here was one thing we didn’t have to worry about. Since we were already over here, having someone go pick up the cats at our home and get them to the airport was indispensable. And that’s not to mention the tons of complicated paperwork that had to be filled out. I don’t know how we would have gotten through all of that without you. Finally, since we don’t speak Japanese, having someone recive them at the airport and bring them to our door was wonderful.
Unfortunately all the pictures are on Katherine’s computer, but they are definitely very cute and quite content.
Thanks very much for all your great assistance. We wish you the best of Holidays and a very Happy New Year.
