Great working dogs are bred and then polished through training. Training does not replace sound breeding practices.

Force-breaking or training the “conditioned” retrieve is an example of negative reinforcement training. The dog receives pressure in terms of the light toe pinch, which is relieved by the dog grabbing the dowel.

I love pistachios.
They are a wee bit expensive compared to other nuts, but I love their flavor.

Here is a nice article on the growing conflicts between urban coyotes and people.
It includes advice on how to avoid coyote attacks. Don’t feed them. Keep dogs on a leash. Don’t leave pets unattended (especially if they are smaller than the coyote).
