Heres a nice article in the daily military newspaper Stars and Stripes about the adoption of stray dogs and cats by soldiers on military bases in Afghanistan. Its long read, but it provides a deeper view of pets on military bases than other articles that have been in the media lately. And since a reporter for a military newspaper wrote the article, it provides a military angle to the story that mainstream media stories dont have.
