Pets Product Review - Dogsrule.com Open Letter to President-elect Obama

I love to shop and test out products.  But when it comes to dogs my opinion is different.  Rescue dogs, mutts, pound puppies whatever you call them are all regal creatures and worthy of a place in the White House.  After all, aren't we a nation of mutts?

Bravo to the great people at Pedigree for reminding us how special every dog with or without a pedigree is.  Here is their open letter to President-elect Obama:

If you're having a hard time reading the letter, go to www.dogsrule.com for a better view.  And remember, if you're considering adopting a dog, your local shelters have wonderful dogs of all kinds, thoroughbred predigreed dogs too.  Please support them.

I really hope the Obama's adopt a dog instead of buying or accepting a dog from one of their friends.

Good for Pedigree. Finally a big company takes notice to the mutts we all love. I think it would be a move in the right direction if the Obamas rescued a dog from a shelter.

I love the message that Pedigree is sending out. People should consider adoption first when considering a dog. And I have to say, I just find the Pedigree adoption commercials heart warming.

I wish they would run those commercials again. They always made me cry.

You might be interested in knowing that Abraham Lincoln loved animals. He not only kept a variety of animals while he was in the White House, but he was especially kind to them too. His dog Fido was definitely a mixed breed. Ellen Jackson, author ABE LINCOLN LOVED ANIMALS

I have no idea if this particular breed contains "allergies" that would harm the Obama children, but, if not, what a wonderful choice a greyhound would be. I know there are many people trying their best to place retired racing greyhounds with compassionate owners.....and they are supposedly wonderful pets.

Hooray for Pedigree for promoting adoption. Adoption should always be the first choice if you're considering a dog; even if you are the President.
