Best Friend NYC introduces "Artist Spotlight" - an online art installation of dog-themed art to support and showcase atists and raise funds for ASPCA.
New York - March 30, 2009 - (www.bestfriendnyc.com) Best Friend NYC celebrates dogs and introduces the "Artist Spotlight"- a non-for-profit online rotating showcase of dog-themed art. Officially set to launch on April 1st, 2009, "Artist Spotlight" (http://bestfriendnyc.com/art) at any given time will only showcase twelve unique painters and photographers and their artwork inspired by our four-legged friends.
"Dog are beautiful and unique creatures and they deserve a place on the web to display a variety of art inspired by them", says Maxim Vorobiev, the founder and President of Best Friend NYC.
Showcasing each artist in an individual virtual gallery, Best Friend NYC's "Artist Spotlight"is designed to create exposure and bring awareness to artists from all over the United States and beyond.
On April 1st 2009 "Artist Spotlight" will unveil its virtual doors and welcome visitors to browse through galleries of Ann Hamilton (San Francisco, CA), Noel Hoffmann (Charleston, SC), Marie Mason (Kansas City, MO), Diane Mellendick (Orlando, FL), Shasta Molnar (Jackson Hole, WY), Daniela Ria (Atlanta, GA / Milan), Faye Rose (Eagleville, PA), Rebecca Rumbley (Bardstown, KY), Ellen Silverberg (East Hampton, NY), Debbie Stonebraker (Foley, MO), David Trowbridge (Brooklyn, NY), and Barbara Van Vliet (Weston, VT).
Some of the artists' work will be available for commissions through Best Friend NYC online e-commerce portal (www.bestfriendnyc.com) . In turn, Best Friend NYC pledges to match and donate 20% of all profits generated by artists through the "Artist Spotlight" initiative to ASPCA.
