Pet Products Review - Outward Hound The Pet Saver™ Life Jackets by Kyjen
Its as simple as this, if you take your dog on a boat, make sure he's wearing a life jacket. Think about it, with children, its the law. All children on a boat must wear a life jacket, so why should it be any different for a dog. I especially feel strongly about this since there are some great inexpensive options for you. Kyjen Company has a line of canine life jackets that are stylish and affordable. Here is a video that i thought was great:
Now watching this video I was totally reminded how the hardest part of lifting a dog out of water is that they actually fall under the boat or dock. Case in point, my dog Champ, who loves the family boat, did not fall off the boat itself, but jumped from the parked boat to the dock last summer. Even though we were only 5 feet from the shore, he was scared. Lifting him out from under the dock was a bit of an traumatic for all of us.
Here is Champ on the boat, the same day he fell in. Notice, happy, but no life jacket:

So here it is again, you have a dog, you have a boat, buy an Outward Hound The Pet Saver™ Life Jackets by Kyjen. They are on sale and less than $20 at Animal World Network. Go to this page to order: http://www.animalworldnetwork.com/dolija.html remember to consider the weight and size of your dog's chest when making a purchase.

Pet Products Review - Kurgo Skybox Booster Seat
Ok, just today I'm reading Time Magazine, and what was a featured article? "Do We Love Our Dogs More Than People?" Well, if it means letting Fluffy go shot gun over your best friend then absolutely!
But Just like any baby, if you're going to take them in the car with you, make sure you do it safely. Lucky for us the people at Nutra-9 have exactly the products we need. My favorite: Kurgo Skybox Booster Seat
Is that not the cutest way you've ever seen safety packaged?
I'm recommending the Kurgo Skybox Booster Seat to my co-worker Soo Jin who has a pampered yorkie named Chanel. I've heard she's been rumored to drive with Chanel on her lap; not good.....
The Kurgo Skybox Booster Seat offers a safe and secure alternative by providing enough elevation for mini-fido to have a clear view of the road ahead and a comfortable, secure padded seat to snuggle down on longer trips. The best part, is they are still within arm's reach when you have the desire to scratch their belly.
Benefits:
- Holds up to 30 lbs
- Washable padded liner keeps seat fresh and clean
- Metal supports for structural integrity
- Collapsible for easy storage when not in use
- Installs quickly and securely
- Adjustable tether easily attaches to a dog harness
This will work on vehicles that do not have adjustable head rests!
Dimensions:
- Open: 16"W x 9"H x 13"D
• Collapsed: 16"W x 2"H x 13"D
Color:
Black with Orange Details

Pet Product Review - Wellness Pure Rewards Chicken & Lamb Jerky Treats for Dogs
Ok, I have to tell you today is going to be the last product review of doggie treats for a long while. You know why? with all the samples that get sent to me, and Champ, my Sheltie happily willing to test them all, he's starting to turn up his nose at his regular dog food, and even at some of his lesser favorite treats (which only a week ago may have been his favorite treat ever). So the take away from today's blog post: DO NOT OVER TREAT YOUR DOG!

But, if you are looking for a treat, Champ's new favorite spoil me rotten but healthy treat is Wellness pure Rewards Chicken & Lamb Jerky Bits for Dogs. YUM! Even I have to say, these 1"x1" squares of pressed moist meat smell lovely. They do kinda remind me of soylent green, from the 70's movie, but who cares. Champ certainly does not, even though he gets only one, when he's good of course, you can tell, he simply loves them.
Now in order for me to love the treats, they need to comprise the following:
Nothing Artificial, Grain Free, Few Ingredients, Never Recalled and made in the USA. Well Wellness Pure Rewards Chicken & Lamb bits for dogs, meets these all of these. Wellness Pure Rewards also comes in several delicious flavors including Salmon, Turkey and Beef.
If you're looking to buy the product, we recommend going to www.PetFoodDirect.com. I checked out 5 online retailers, and their prices were the best for a 6oz bag. Order your Wellness Pure Reward Chicken & Lamb Jerky Treats for Dogs and save over $2 per bag at:

Pet Product Reviews - Geico Kitten Commercial
I just saw this commercial of the Geico Gecko conversing with two adorable kitties and thought it was funny. I think its hilarious that the Geico cats actually have names, Stina and Mossy. Thanks Geico, thanks for recognizing animals are cool and funny and for brightening up my day.
