Pet Product Review - Anti-Bark SprayCollar by Multivet

So my puppy Charlie is now four months old. Do you know what that means? he's found his voice. It's a cute little bark but it's not one that like to develop. Being a sheltie a breed that's known for its loud high-pitched annoying bark, I need to pay particular attention to his mouthiness because I live in an apartment building in New York City. The last thing I need our neighbors complaining that my dog barks too loud.
With that I bought the anti-bark spray collar by Multivet. This anti-bark spray collar contains citronella and is sprayed when the dog barks. It's actually a very simple concept. But does it work? Well, with Charlie he certainly will bark right through the citronella spray. But I do see him his space that it's very unpleasant. So much so that when I put the collar on him he immediately becomes depressed and will sit in the corner. So does it work? I guess it does. But the fear of the collar is more effective than the spray. Because I never want to see my puppy in a depressed state, I'd rather deal with the barking.
But here is some product information from a website that I recommend should you be interested in purchasing, www.entirelypets.com:
The MULTIVET Citronella Anti-Bark Spray Collar is approved by veterinarians and behavioral experts. Clinical studies conducted by the College of Veterinary medicine of Cornell University, (as published in the Journal of the American Hospital Association), have proven that the Citronella Bark Collar is TWICE effective as Shock Collars!
Sonic dog barking collars are virtually ineffective compared to sprays. Each bark triggers a harmless spray that conditions the dog to stop barking.
Includes:
# Original spray device
# Adjustable collar
# Battery
# Training manual
# Citronella spray refill or scentless refill
The anti-bark spray collar by multivet is available for $52.95.

Pet Product Review - RESOLVE® Pet Stain Cleaner
My advise for the day: you have a puppy? Then you need RESOLVE® Pet Stain Cleaner.

Everyone knows that puppies and kittens make little messes and accidents. That's why you need a bottle of Resolve on hand at all time. It is great for getting the stains out that are caused by urine, feces and vomit. But did you know that Resolve also has an odor neutralizer that actually discourages pets from resoling the same area?
Aside from pet stains, it works wonders on unforeseen stains such as when your pup knocks over a glass of red wine. This happened to me just last week when my friend Patrick came to visit. Not knowing rule #1 of puppy ownership "never put anything of value or prown to accidents on the floor". Puppies come out from nowhere like a tornado. And in this case Patrick put his glass of wine on the floor where it subsequently got knocked over. I call that a pet accident.
Lucky for me I had RESOLVE® Pet Stain Cleaner.
It did take three sessions of spray cleaning but the wine stains came up and my rug was saved. I really recommend this product. You can get lots of information by going to the Resolve website: http://www.powerofresolve.com/index.shtml
I bought my 22 FL. OZ of Resolve Pet Stain Cleaner at Walgreens for $8.49. You can find it at nearly any quality supermarket.

Pet Product Review - Bissell Pet Inspired Cleaning Products
Everyone knows the name Bissell as one of the top US manufacturers of quality vacuum cleaners and cleaning products, but did you know they also they have a whole line of pet lifestyle products. This line of cleaning solutions were designed with the sole purpose of making cleaning up after your cat or dog, simple, fast and effective. Products include:
SheAway Pet Grooming Vacuum Attachements - $29.99
Drool Cleaner in a foam can with its own brush
Enzyme-Action Pet Stain and Odor Remover
Enzyme Action Cat Stain and Odor Remover
Oxygen Active Pet Stain & Odor Remover
and even handy dandy pet wipes.

Personally, I think its genius of Bissell to make this line of products. It reminds me of a book I read (and so many experiences of my own). In the book "My Dog Tulip" the dog owner is invited to a lovely estate in the English countryside, and low and behold, his cherished dog Tulip, uncharacteristically has multiple accidents. The Dog owner does all he can to clean up the mess, but is thoroughly embarassed. Oh, how many time can I tell you this has happened to me, or guest I've had. Many times I can assure you. So the fact that Bissell creates a line that is ready to take to the road is "Pawsitively" wonderful.

I've seen all the products at both Target and Walmart.

Pet Products Review - Bissell Pet Hair Eraser® Vacuum
You know every now and then I read the sponsored content from advertisers on sites. I came across this one set of articles on Dogtime.com for clean home tips: http://dogtime.com/clean-dog-clean-house-bissell.html A clean, dust, hair and dander free home is so importnant to me. There is nothing more disgusting than going into a home that has pets and there is dog hair on everything and it smells of animal.
With that, I tried out one of the recommended products, the Bissell Pet Hair Eraser® Vacuum. When I was in Target, I noticed that the price of the vacuum was only $149, that is $20 less than the manufacturers suggested retail price. So, I figured why not, I need a vacuum for my place in the country. Well I've been a tough critic on vaccuums before because they break down so easily, and so many of them Bissell included, I've always felt used flimsy materials.

To my surprise the Bissell Pet Hair Eraser® Vacuum was a delightful change. First, I was impressed with the suction, it was quite powerful. This is important if you have cats especially because they shed so much dander. You need good suction to pick this up. I also liked how it was bagless. This makes for easy cleaning, and I actually see the dirt that gets collected. And let me tell you, I'm impressed with how much dirt and hair me and my pets give off. Next, I thought the attachment was cool and really worked. Those little rubber hair lifters are great.
You can find more information on Bissell by going to:
All in all a good vacuum and well designed for pets. My one con, Bissell, please use more substantial plastic in the construction.
