Hershey :: Furever Treasured

I was very saddened to get the news from Hershey’s mom that this sweet little guy left us for a better place last Monday.  I met Hershey and his mom last year at Biggby Dog Days of Summer and saw them again at last month’s event which is when I snapped the below picture. At that time his mom said he was having a few issues but I sure couldn’t tell that day… he was happy, affectionate, and having a great time with all the other pups. He even jumped into the pool!  My heart goes out to Hershey’s mom during this difficult time as the two of them had the most wonderful bond – I hope her memories of their beautiful life together bring her some comfort.  I know that every time I think of Hershey all I see is his happy little face, his beautiful chocolate colored fur, and all the love inside of him that shined in his eyes…. and suddenly a smile comes across my face.  Dearest sweetest Hershey you will furever be treasured…
