A hundred Basset Hounds plus the largest rescue shelter in the country which houses them, are in severe trouble. The shelter - Daphneyland - 50 miles north of Los Angeles, is having a real financial crisis trying to meet their bills. The electricity, needed to operate their well, has already been cut off once posing a real threat to the shelter's Basset Hound population. With the holidays approaching, it is a sad fact that more pets are usually dumped into shelters at this time of year. Donations are urgently needed to keep the Daphneyland Rescue Shelter operating.
