Last week, we talked about holiday traditions. This week, I wanted to talk about some holiday favorites of mine, and hear about yours. I also needed a good excuse to share this photo of Ruby in front of our now fully decoratedChristmas tree. Much to my surprise, neitherRuby norAllegra have shown much interestin the tree, so I got daring and hung the rest of the ornaments. So far so good!

Cats in Japan still need your help

After the devastating earthquake and tsunami hit Japan in March, animal rescue groups from around the world came together to help the animals displaced by the massive disaster. One of the groups which was instrumental in coordinating rescue efforts on the ground in the early days wasJapan Cat Network. Its been a busy couple of days here for us, and Im a little bit exhausted. You see, Ive been taking care of Mom for the last few days, with Rubys help, of course. Im not sure whats wrong with Mom, but she hasnt been herself. She started sounding kind of funny on Sunday.Her voice just didnt sound like Mom, it was all raspy and weird. She spent the rest of the day laying around on the sofa very unlike her.
