  • Chihuly's collection of cast iron dogs displayed at Collections Cafe next to Garden and Glass Exhibit

    Last night we visited the new Chihuly Glass and Garden exhibit (which was fabulous) the and afterwards we ate at the Collection's Cafe (which was also fabulous) next to the exhibit. The Cafe features a number of different esoteric items - shaving brushes, vintage accordions, bottle openers - that Chihuly has collected since he was a boy.

    I don't know if Chihuly is a dog lover or not, but the restaurant has a several cast iron dogs that he collected, some of which are over 100 years old.

    Dog breeders who skirt animal welfare laws by selling puppies over the Internet would face tighter scrutiny under a rule change proposed by the U.S. Department of Agriculture.

    The Seattle Animal Shelter announcedthat it will give a $2500 reward for information regarding this severely emaciated dog that leads to an arrest.

    He was found in the 9400 block of 26th SW.
