After being cared for by Agape Animal Rescue, Nancy is ready to find her forever home.
Agape Animal Rescue received a cash grant through Healthy Paws 2012 Every Quote Gives Hope program. The organization used the funds for Operation Sweethearts. On February 14, 2012 Valentines Day Agape Animal Rescue discovered 96 dogs at an animal hoarders home in Wingo, Kentucky. The shelter took in 16 of the animals to give them a second chance at life. Pit bull in Phoenix refuses to leave side of companion killed by car

Here's a touching news story about a pit bull in Phoenix, AZ who stays by the side of his fallen companion for 14 hours after a car struck and killed her. A nearby store owners brought him food and water since he wouldn't leave.
He'll be up for adoption at the county animal shelter in 72 hours if no one claims him.

Uggie fur-ever. Those are the words that spun through my head after I met this legendary pooch at the Betty White Friars Club Roast last week in New York.

Last night we visited the new Chihuly Glass and Garden exhibit (which was fabulous) the and afterwards we ate at the Collection's Cafe (which was also fabulous) next to the exhibit. The Cafe features a number of different esoteric items - shaving brushes, vintage accordions, bottle openers - that Chihuly has collected since he was a boy.
I don't know if Chihuly is a dog lover or not, but the restaurant has a several cast iron dogs that he collected, some of which are over 100 years old.
