Video: 5 Years with my (Broken) Dog

Recently, a Trupanion policyholder posted a video on our Facebook page that told the story of her dog, Maggie, an American Pitbull Terrier who suffered several accidents and illnesses over a five-year period. Poor Maggie had four knee surgeries, a broken tooth, and an emergency veterinary visit for raisin ingestion, among other things, and treatment totaled over $20,000. Luckily, Maggie’s owner invested in pet insurance to help her pay the veterinary costs.

Policyholder Kate Lawrence said of the video: “This is my dog Maggie. She’s a walking advertisement for pet insurance. Without Trupanion, there’s little chance she’d be walking at all.”
